This study material was created to innovate the subject of Surgery and orthopedics of large animals, with grant support from IVA VETUNI 2024 as part of the project 2024FVL/1670/16.
This Moodle course titled Equine regional anesthesia and joint injection is intended for students of the english master's degree programs at the FVL and FVHE, VETUNI Brno. The main intention of this project was to create study materials consisting of text files, photos and video records. The materials should help students better understand the topic.

P2 – P3, distal interphalangeal joint
Volume of local anesthetics: 4-6 ml to each site.

- dorsal parallel approach
- dorsal perpendicular approach
- dorsolateral approach

P1 – P2, the proximal interphalangeal joint.
Volume of local anesthetics: 8–10 ml at each site.

- palmar/plantar approach

Volume of local anesthetics: 8-12 ml to each site.
